WELCOME TO THE EMERYVILLE PRO WRESTLING ACADEMY
Founded by Emery Layton in 2019, the aptly-named Emeryville Pro Wrestling Academy is a wrestling school based in the heart of Emeryville, California. Running during the entire duration of her forced retirement, the school produced current emerging talent on the independent scene such as current reigning EVP Champion Erza Lazarus, Kendal Harlow, Hayley Morgan, WYM Greco, Helena "The Last" Hope and Gia to name but a few.The physical academy itself is located at a converted warehouse in Emeryville. The building acts as both a school and a venue available to be leased for independent wrestling shows (the very same venue hosted both EMERYVILLE events in 2021 and 2022).With a coaching team led by head trainer Emery Layton, Emeryville Pro is dedicated not only to transforming ordinary but ambitious people into the absolute best wrestlers they can be but also making them better people, with a strong emphasis on respect and making positive changes to your life. The school welcomes anyone at any experience level, with classes every day ranging from Beginners courses to Intermediate and Advanced classes as well as a three-hour Open Mat class on Saturday for those wanting to try things out or work on things with people at different experience levels. There are also training facilities available such as gym equipment and even fitness classes. As of late, our monthly "EVP" student shows have attracted even more eyes and attention onto the academy. With a firm eye on the future of the industry and all the big plans that come with that, the Emeryville Pro Wrestling Academy looks to be going from strength to strength, as it expands into exciting new horizons.

Disclaimer: Emeryville Pro Wrestling Academy is a fictional academy created for the purposes of E-Wrestling.

EVP is Monthly and angled, with a strong emphasis on character and long-term story. The crowd for the show is small enough to fit in the venue but loud enough to make a lot of noise, with dedicated regulars from around the area. In terms of style and feel, think NXT circa 2015 or modern day Ring Of Honor. Each card will have a maximum of about 7 or 8 matches, so you might not ALWAYS be booked but that doesn't mean you're no longer part of the school (I expect a fair few debuts on these shows for a bit) and don’t let that deter you from being a part of the show. Pushes will very much depend on effort and selling. Obviously Twitter plays a massive part in E-Fedding now, but if you’re one of those people who perhaps isn’t big on Twitter, then at least give me a segment or something to work with in terms of story. If you’re just gonna plant your character here and not even acknowledge anything happening, you might find yourself on the losing end of things quite a bit. Help me help you.I feel I shouldn’t have to say this but as tempting as it may be to put your multi-time world champion (unless they've been out of the game for quite a while, and I mean a while) or super-rookie on shows, I’m not really looking for that. EVP is specifically designed as a platform for your brand new or underutilised characters. Somewhere you can establish them and showcase exactly who they are and what makes them so great. I am absolutely open to angles being pitched or you guys starting your own feuds and stories amongst yourselves, just let me know so I can book towards it and avoid treading on toes.As you’d imagine with the length of the show, results will be summerised, giving you the jist of the match and hopefully enough for you to go away and sell/build stories from.I think I’ve mentioned everything here but if anyone has any questions I’ve not gone over here, just DM me.Twitter or Discord, whichever.
I’m gonna keep this as easy as possible. DM me on Twitter on either @TheEmeryLayton or @EmeryvillePro and say you wanna have your character involved. Have a Universal Bio or at least one legible enough that can send it to me, and we’re good.I'll need a bio before I can book you, so make sure you have that first. Also for regular updates, it's a good idea to join our Discord. DM us for the link to this once you've followed us on Twitter!

Ralph Adler - Color Commentator
Known for his obnoxious personality, Ralph Adler is Ronnie's partner in the ring and now at the commentary table. Equipped with a loud mouth and a fragile ego, Ralph favors our more...problematic stars and questions those he believes to be a bit too "goody-two-shoes".
Erica Waters - Backstage Interviewer
Erica Waters is a popular, experienced interviewer with a cult following of her own! With the likes of Graps Gallery and various jobs across the industry occupying her time, she's a busy bee these days, and we're incredibly lucky to have her!
